Chance the Rapper, “Blessings”

Good morning y’all, hope that the rising heat is finding you well as April turns into May. It’s almost sunscreen season, and the fun of summer is just around the corner.

Try out our featured recipe this weekend – Skillet Seared Salmon. One of my favorite formulas for great food is simple: just meat, seasoning, and heat. Bring a high level of quality to a simple meal and show off your skills on any given Tuesday night.

Let’s get supper on the table.

Commandment #5 – No need to go higher than “6” on the stove heat.

For clarity, I use a 1-10 heat scale when cooking on the stovetop. 1 is a low simmer, 5 is in the middle, and 10 is as hot as possible. If you turn the stove up to 10, the cast iron pan will be so hot and your food won’t stand a chance because everything burns quickly. Have I been there? Reference Commandment #1 – Challenge Yourself. With challenges come the failures, but also the lessons. So take it from me – no need to go higher than a 6 on the stovetop.

As always, thanks so much for subscribing to this page, it is truly appreciated. I hope it brings a little joy to your inbox and kitchen table.

Y’all be good. – Hendo
