School’s out and the nights roll in
Man, just like a long lost friend
You ain’t seen in a while
You can’t help but smileKenny Chesney, “Summertime”
Good morning y’all, and happy pool season.
When I was as a teenager, one of my friends heard about an abandoned quarry that had filled up with crystal blue rainwater to form a secret mini-lake with sky high cliffs. The summer before we all went off to college, we would drive down, walk through some woods, and take leaps of faith off of the cliff edges all afternoon. Not sure my parents ever knew I was there, and the memory sticks to this day.

Great food can create time stamps in your life, like a summertime journey to the secret mini-lake. After you’re done breaking rules some rules with your friends this summer, enjoy this Low Country Boil combination of shrimp, potatoes, andouille sausage, and corn. It will taste better after some shared shenanigans.
Let’s get supper on the table.
Commandment #9 – Olive oil works perfect for 9/10 recipes. If a recipe get’s “glued” together, use real butter.
As always, thanks so much for subscribing to this page, it is truly appreciated. I hope it brings a little joy to your inbox and kitchen table each week.
