Well, it’s turn and face the Stars and Stripes
It’s fighting back them butterflies
It’s call it in the air, alright, yes sir, we want the ball

Kenny Chesney, “Boys of Fall”

Good morning y’all – Happy Week 1.

“Corso on Saturday, church on Sunday. It’s how I grew up.”- David Ubben, The Athletic

College football is back in the air this weekend for a full takeover of our hearts, minds, and televisions. Regardless if your team has a chance at the current iteration of the National Championship, the arrival of Week 1 offers us the joy of gathering together over a common cause. Time to dust off the tailgate tent, pay too much for parking, and impress your friends and neighbors with the gameday spread.

Bring this Skillet Chorizo Queso Dip this fall to the tailgate this football season. Chock full of cheese, meat, some well placed spiciness and fan spirit, this dish will have you fired up for kickoff on jalapeno power with enough protein to carry you through the 4th quarter to overtime.

College football is often referred to as the soul of America. Full of tradition, family feel, pageantry, and collegiate shenanigans, this sport brings the passion out of all of fans. So enjoy week 1 of the college season, and watch some grown men yell their heart out.

Welcome back football, we’ve missed you. Let’s get supper on the table.
