Good morning y’all, enjoy some world football this weekend. America has been getting a PR makeover with this tournament. Go USA!

Commandment #2 – Be adaptable – stovetop, oven, grill, or open flame.

Gameday Skillet Queso – Looking for a something to bring to a World Cup watch party? Share our culture with the world this summer and breakout a cast iron skillet to make some queso. A quick and fun way to show off some skill for a group setting.

Father’s Day is Sunday, which means an opportunity to let the dads watch some championship golf on Sunday afternoon.

As a father to a girl, one of my main goals is to instill a belief in her that she can do anything she wants to. Whether that is singing loud on stage at the Christmas play, cooking bacon with me in the morning, or climbing the ladder on the big kid playground. I hope that she grows up with confidence to believe in herself and stretch her limits, and it’s my job to make sure she knows that I believe in her.

After all, everyone should have parents that believe in them, and care enough to say so.

Make something this weekend that Dad will like. In my house, that’s a BLT, which my Dad would eat all summer long.

And then let us know the funniest thing your Dad taught you in the comments. For me, it’s probably how to drive on the highway with my knees while eating a hamburger.

Happy Father’s Day. Y’all be good.

Every week, I enjoy all of the photos I get each week of various cast iron creativity out there. This one is a homemade brisket by my friend Brayden Yocum on a smoker he fixed up himself. Helluva job.

Send in your own photo of some cast iron magic from your home this week to be featured.

As always, thanks so much for subscribing to this page, it is truly appreciated. I hope it brings a little joy to your inbox and kitchen table each week.

Y’all be good. – Hendo
