Good morning, y’all.
Happy 250th to the U-S- of A.
Commandment #4 – No need to go higher than “6” on the stove heat.
🍳Let’s Get Supper on the Table

Smashburgers– Nothing says the 4th of July like hamburgers, hot dogs, a cold beer, and good friends. Enjoy this Smashburgers recipe with your people this summer as we celebrate two hundred and fifty years of the American experiment.
As part of the sendoff to a long holiday weekend, one of the leaders at my job site reminded us to enjoy it while “making safe and smart decisions”.
I can understand the sentiment, as corporate America doesn’t lean into the rebellion of throwing tea in the harbor or not paying taxes.
But I for one am glad Washington and the gang weren’t concerned about making safe, smart decisions coming out of Philadelphia in the summer.
This July, take a few chances like Hamilton and his homies did in 1776. Maybe that’s professional or personal, educational or physical. But they didn’t sail across the Delaware so that we could play it safe 250 years later.
As you’re out there taking chances, grab a skillet and make some great food this summer.
Homemade food has a way of bringing people together, no matter where the politics fall.
So enjoy some cast iron made deliciousness and celebrate a couple of centuries of American exceptionalism.
At the same time, remember we still have a long way to go in helping everyone who lives here fully enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Y’all be good.
